RTS fever has hit DI, aiming itself at this classic Blizzard sci-fi game. It received twenty-one votes at the polls! Come join us in community every Saturday and Sunday for events, and meet others who play StarCraft II also!

Release Details

Free-to-play since November 14th, 2017, Starcraft II is now more accessible than ever before. StarCraft II was first released in 2010, and it went free-to-play last month to revive the game’s eSport scene and make it more available to new competitors. While all PvP aspects of the game are free, certain parts of the game still require purchase, such as particular PvE Campaigns and Co-op commanders.

Gameplay

StarCraft II is a real-time strategy scifi game that features three different races: the cyborg Terran, the psionic Protoss, and the insectile Zerg. Each race has it’s own unique units, buildings, and mechanics. Starcraft II requires heavy macro and micro management as player’s build and specialize units, scout the map, and prioritize various resources. Starcraft II also features Arcade Games, which bring a creative twist to custom games!

Terraria

Terraria has also won our monthly gaming club’s spotlight, snatching the tie-break against Rainbow Six Siege with twenty-eight votes! Join us at our regular weekend Terraria events, where consistent event hosts will start fresh worlds that we can return to throughout the month. Let’s build grand castles, and see how far we can make it in the storyline!

Release Details

Terraria was first released in 2011 by Re-Logic, and has maintained “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews for several years. An exemplary early access title that has now been fully released by the developers, Terraria has had numerous high-quality updates. A true indie gem, Terraria has sold more than 20 million copies and is one of the most popular co-op games on steam.

Gameplay

Terraria features a randomly generated sandbox world. Build a home, fight monsters and bosses, and explore the intricate network of caves below ground. Build glorious and creative castles, or explore the world and fight dangerous enemies – the choice is yours.
