Yet, Easton and his partner in crime ShadowFox98 spent countless hours growing and building their venture to the coveted status of Division. Facing many challenges, they managed to pull it off. After a few weeks of heavy recruitment from many members, the venture was an astounding success. Well done to everyone involved in building and organizing the 10th Division. Many big things are expected and everyone continues to look on in anticipation.

Structure Changes

To accommodate our ever growing size there has been some structure changes within the clan. The changes have been reflected in the Code of Ops. The Officer Charter will be updated shortly to explain in more detail what these new positions do and how it fits into our overall strategy of what we are trying to achieve.

Rank Changes

There have been multiple rank changes over the last month as we moved to align our outdated member ranks with the clan’s strategy and priorities, as well as tidying up some other loose ends and legacy rules that needed updating. All of the changes have been reflected in the Code of Ops however here are the highlights:

Member Ranks

They have been re-aligned with what is important to the clan (Activity and Contribution). Active members who post everyday, are on TS everyday, attend many events and mentor others are the rockstars of the clan. We want more of these, and we want to reward our rockstars by recognizing the time and effort they spend towards making this clan what it is. The Speakeasy will also be brought back (which is the Senior+ Forum) so that Seniors+ have a direct line to Leadership and can also discuss topics amongst themselves. It is not a decision making forum (as Officers are the sole decision makers in the clan) however it does allow for a relaxed environment to provide feedback to leadership. Officers will not have access to this forum.

Chancellor Rank

This rank has now been updated to have time spent in this position count towards the Retired Leader honorary rank. In the past it was just the rank of Leader that counted.

Elder Rank

The Elder rank (which is an inactive/retired rank) now has three avenues of being achieved from its former two giving more members flexibility in achieving it.

MOTM Rank

The MOTM rank has been given the privilege of access to the Opium Den (Officers Forum) and is able to weigh in on discussions and vote on any decisions being considered at the time. It will allow for additional perspective which could prove useful for leadership.

OP New Blood II – Need 125 mbrs

The final 30 days is here! And with it our final sprint. We have had an outstanding year to so far and are on track to meet the Damage Inc 2016 Plan. We need just a little more of a push from everyone and therefore will be holding a Clan Competition.

Op New Blood is about recruiting, and there will be prizes for the top recruiters including Steam Games of Rust, Ark Survival and Rocket League, not to mention the Awards and reputation boost! Members of the best scoring Division will also get the rare Best Division Medal which is only awarded to the victors of a Clan Competition. Push hard DI we want to make our 2016 Clan Objectives!

OP New Blood will start on Monday 5th December. Keep an eye out for Announcements… Which leads to the next thing…

2016 Review / Honors and Awards

At the end of December, to give thanks for the many members in Damage Inc who sacrificed a lot this year, contributed a lot and helped this clan get where it is today, there will be a big Honors and Awards Ceremony to recognize them all. How its going to happen is still being planned, however we want to create a reflection of the year, some of the big challenge we overcame, give some shoutouts to the key players who helped make it all happen and then celebrate with the honors and awards. And hopefully by then we have met ALL our objectives as a clan.

Officer Achievements

Officer Achievements have been introduced to recognize officers who have committed to their within the clan and provided a tenure of good service to Damage Inc.

Being an Officer in Damage Inc requires a lot more effort than what it takes to be a member, and many officers spend countless hours to help the clan run and function. The purpose of these achievements are to recognize the Veteran Officers who have stuck it out in their roles and “stood above the rest”. For all those wondering, this will be applied retrospectively for this year.

Here they are:

commander.png Commander’s Coat of Arms – Serving 6 Months as a Division Commander (whether rank is Commander or General not relevant).

Everyone knows the stress and effort involved with commanding, its an intense role within the clan, with the combination of responsibilities, patience and stamina required to succeed. You need a wide variety of skills to succeed, a cool-headed approach and out of the box thinking to succeed in one of DI’s key 3 command positions within the clan.

About the Commander’s Coat of Arms:

– The star symbolizes that its a Command Position at Division Level with direct responsibility over our troops (see Officer Training if you don’t remember what Command position is)
– The sword and armor symbolizes that position requires strong leadership, command presence and a mind for strategy to winning our wars and fights.

teamleader.png Captain’s Coat of Arms – Serving 6 Months as a Team Leader (whether rank is Lieutenant or Captain not relevant).

Being a Team Leader is about leading the troops in the trenches. You are in the front lines everyday managing individuals, their objectives, their activity and coordinating the efforts needed for them to be coached, trained and prepared for battle against our opponents. Its a demanding job, but one of the key 3 crucial command positions in the clan. Many TL’s dont have what it takes to get to the 6 month mark, and this Coat of Arms recognizes those who have brought stability and performance to DI and for its glory.

About the Captain’s Coat of Arms:

– The star symbolizes that its a Command Position at Team Level with direct responsibility over our troops (see Officer Training if you don’t remember what Command position is)
– The sword and armor symbolizes that position requires strong leadership, command presence and a mind for strategy to winning our wars and fights.

warlord.png Viking’s Crest – Serving 6 Months as a Warlord (olden day Events Officer) (whether rank is Lieutenant or Marshal not relevant).

The Division Warlord plays a key role in the establishment of training and routine. Their hunger for glory sees them at the forefront of planning and engaging in conflict with other clans, It is a role that requires ambition, discipline and an acute attention to detail. Ensuring that their Team Leaders are well trained, prepared and ready is a challenging role to sustain for long periods and this achievement recognizes those who were the greatest warmongers among our members.

About the Viking’s Crest:

– The round shield symbolizes the classic Norse/Viking shield of choice, and symbolizes the position as the glory hunters for DI.
– The crossed swords symbolizes the Warlord’s direct involvement in the front lines with the Team Leaders by setting up engagements against other clans.

vice.png Tome of Knowledge – Serving 6 Months as a Division Vice or Aide-de-Camp

Division Vice is one of the key support positions within a Division which the Commander heavily relies on to complete the background tasks that keep the division running and prepared. Being a Vice also requires a very in-depth understanding of DI’s many policies, and being the advisors of these policies to their Commander and Members is a key role of theirs. Aide-de-Camps play an important role in helping their Commander’s administrative workload, and therefore all the qualities expected of a Vice are also often expected from an Aide-de-Camp

About the Tome of Knowledge:

– The book symbolizes that Division Vices and Aide-de-Camps are Masters of Damage Inc’s intricate administrative systems. They know how to navigate this system exceptionally well to ensure their Division remains in good standing.
– The magical sword symbolizes some of the “tricks” and “magic” that Vices and Aide-de-Camp’s sometimes have to do to make a Division run smoothly. There is a lot of background work involved that many in DI cannot ever appreciate unless they have been a Vice, and this symbolizes the “magic aura” surrounding vice work. The sword itself symbolizes the fact that that Division Vices and Aide-de-Camps form a crucial part of Divisions, and are also often on the front lines supporting their Commanders.

hq.png Tome of Wisdom – Serving 6 Months as a HQ Officer (ranks Lieutenant, Marshal, Vice and General only- leadership ranks do not count qualify)

Working in HQ is a challenging task, especially for very long periods of time. It takes an acute level of attention to detail and policy understanding to succeed, as well as a “big picture” understanding as they serve the entire clan.

About the Tome of Wisdom:

– The book symbolizes that HQ Officers are Masters of Damage Inc’s intricate administrative systems. They know how to navigate this system exceptionally well to ensure the clan remains in good standing.
– The wooden staff symbolizes the advisory role and backgorund operations that these officers perform on a daily basis to keep the DI empire ticking forward
– The crown symbolize that they are part of the wide support officer network that helps the Leader (key Command position) run the clan, and that they speak on behalf of, and represent him.

leadership.png Imperial Colours – Serving 6 Months in Leadership (whether Director, Chancellor or Leader not relevant)

Reaching the ranks of leadership may seem like an achievement in itself, however its an incredible burden of responsibility to carry even for the strongest members. The amount of work that leadership puts in to keep this empire ticking along is beyond anyones imagination, but sustaining it for a long period of time is even harder. These colours recognize the effort of those who took the responsibility and served the clan and its members with grace.

About the Imperial Colours:

– The red banner symbolizes the colours of DI (red) as a whole and incorporates the entire clan
– The crown symbolizes leadership across the entire clan

Initiation Ceremony

Congratulations to the Cohort of November 2016 for joining our ranks as full members. You have no doubt gone through a somewhat difficult process in the Ludus Magnum, where many of your peers fell to the relentless assaults from the activity managers, your Commanders and Team leaders who expect the highest performance from you and lastly, the barrier tests from the Initiate Managers. Due to the demand, some of you have been offered officer positions to take up more responsibility within the clan. Ensure you use this to the glory of DI and always for the best of the clan as a whole.

Top 3 Initiates of this Cohort:
The following 3 members finished at the top of their Cohort, and have been given their Final Oaths with honours. Congratulations:
