Op Redraw!

What a Division Competition it was! Congratulations to the 8th Division for their exemplary performance in beating the other Divisions as the most active on forums at an average whopping of 241 posts per person!

As reward for their performance, everyone in the Division is awarded an Honor Star for demonstrating teamwork, strong work ethic and coming together as a Division to win. Given the scores were based on averages, it required a Division wide effort to triumph, and 8th Division could not have won without a coordinated and division wide effort.

For Individual performance, congratulations to

Event System Review

After discussing the trial Event System as a replacement for the Roll Call we used to have in place, I am making a few adjustments as follows:

  1. Only events with the tag [CLAN] are a mandatory to respond your availability to. The Activity Managers will continue to check people off the clan list as they respond, up to prior to the event, and strike those who do not post prior to the event occurring.
  2. Only the Commander and Vice of DI-Community, Directors, Leader, CoE members can make events with the tag [CLAN]. Anyone else may also do so, with the endorsement of the Commander of DI-Community, and blessings of either the Leader or a Director.
  3. Division Commanders are responsible for their own events (whether they choose to strike or not, require a response or not etc etc is at the discretion of the Commanders and how they choose to delegate such responsibility amongst their officers), which leads to the next point:

Recruiting and Rank Allocation Changes

All Recruitment Officer positions have been removed from Divisions, and amalgamated at the HQ level under the lead of Meatwad. This allows the team, under guidance from leadership, to focus on needs of the clan (such as expanding ventures, or bolstering divisions that need help) as well as providing more flexibility. Division Commanders, their officers and members are still responsible for recruiting, as its everyone responsibility. Do not rely on the HQ Recruitment Team, as they are focusing on areas that may not be related to your Division.

The HQ Recrutment team will also be setting up/managing the platforms DI has to get its face out there more (such as Facebook, Youtube, Twitch etc etc).

As to Divisions losing their Recruitment Officer position, this allocation will be changed with an Events Officer slot (ranks lieutenant-captain). Given the focus we are putting on events, Division Commanders are able to use the Events Officer to ensure compliance with the 2+ Events per week, and at their discretion, manage attendance and responses to these events. My intent here is to make sure: Every Event in DI is captured in Upcoming Events, and that every event, team practice etc is ensuring that the members who attend them are getting their Event Attendance. Commanders, make sure you understand my intent.

~Member of the Month~

Congratulations to Wetletus for winning MOTM for March 2016. His quality input and consistent activity across the clan has been noted by the officers, and for his efforts he has been awarded the Legend.gif MOTM Ribbon and the MOTM Rank for the duration of the month.

~Initiation Ceremony~

Congratulations to the Cohort of March 2016 for joining our ranks as full members. You have no doubt gone through a somewhat difficult process in the Ludus Magnum, where many of your peers fell to the relentless assaults from the activity managers, your Commanders and Team leaders who expect the highest performance from you and lastly, the barrier tests from the Initiate Managers. Due to the demand, some of you have been offered officer positions to take up more responsibility within the clan. Ensure you use this to the glory of DI and always for the best of the clan as a whole.

Starting: 45
Graduated: 15 (66% fail rate)

Top 3 Initiates of this Cohort:
The following 3 members finished at the top of their Cohort, and have been given their Final Oaths with honours. Congratulations:

Companion

This is the prime rank that a member can achieve during their first 3 months of membership. Its a distinguished rank that can only be earned through hard work, and a constant effort to improve DI. It is achieved after gaining 3 honor points, which is earned through various awards in which themselves take hard work and effort to earn.

I take great pleasure today awarding the Companion’s Shield to:

+GrimReaper, for outstanding service to DI, well above what is expected from any regular member.

+Xitenic, for outstanding service to DI, well above what is expected from any regular member.
